Recipe Introduction
This famous butter cake is unbelievably soft, rich, and tender—one bite and it literally melts in your mouth. It’s a classic, foolproof cake that comes together fast and fills your kitchen with the most irresistible buttery aroma.

Ingredients

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 eggs (about 80 g each)
  • 1½ tsp vanilla essence
  • 1¼ tsp baking powder (7 g)
  • 200 g sugar
  • 120 ml milk
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease and line a loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.
  4. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the batter alternately with milk, mixing gently until smooth.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let cool slightly, remove from pan, and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
