Recipe Introduction
This famous butter cake is unbelievably soft, rich, and tender—one bite and it literally melts in your mouth. It’s a classic, foolproof cake that comes together fast and fills your kitchen with the most irresistible buttery aroma.
Ingredients
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 200 g unsalted butter, softened
- 3 eggs (about 80 g each)
- 1½ tsp vanilla essence
- 1¼ tsp baking powder (7 g)
- 200 g sugar
- 120 ml milk
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease and line a loaf pan.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.
- Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the batter alternately with milk, mixing gently until smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly, remove from pan, and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
